One of the world's most celebrated children's authors, Anthony Browne has written and illustrated over fifty books, including classics such as 'Voices in the Park', 'Willy the Wimp', and 'Gorilla'. There are lots of his books to be found in our school library! Browne's awards include the Kate Greenaway Medal, the Kurt Maschler 'Emil' Award, and the Hans Christian Andersen Award. He was appointed as the UK Children's Laureate from 2009 to 2011 and was awarded a CBE in 2021 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to children's literature.
