Wider Opportunities for Promoting Mutual Respect
School Values
The school value of ‘respect’ offers opportunities for teaching pupils about mutual respect. Pupils engage with this value in assemblies and PSHE lessons and are regularly reminded of the rules when positive behaviour is praised, or negative behaviour is addressed. Each week, in our Celebration Assemblies, pupils are recognised for demonstrate the school vision, values, or rules.
Adults’ Modelled Behaviour
Pupils replicate the behaviour they see from adults they respect. Adults around the school model mutual respect in all exchanges whether with pupils, parents/carers, or other staff members.
Opportunities for Pupil Collaboration
Pupils are given frequent opportunities to collaborate across class, year groups, phases, and across the whole school. We believe providing pupils with opportunities to work together fosters mutual respect.
