  • Happy New Year!

Sat 31 Dec 2022 Miss Wellington

Happy New Year to Brampton families! We hope you've had a wonderful break. Don't forget that Tuesday 3rd is an INSET Day so we'll see you on Wednesday 4th! All staff are attending training on Tuesday so the office staff won't be available to take calls and respond to emails until Wednesday.

We'll be sending out a bulletin on Monday with more information, but there are lots of things happening this term, so make sure you check the website calendar for upcoming dates.

Next Thursday, we are running an information meeting for parents/carers about our Religious Education curriculum:

    Thursday 5th January 2023

    RE Face-to-Face Workshop - 08:50-09:50

    RE Face-to-Face Workshop - 15:30-16:30

    RE Virtual Workshop - 17:00-18:00

The following Thursday, we're holding 11+ information meetings for parents/carers of children in Year 5*:

    Thursday 12th January 2023

    Bexley Selection Test Face-to-Face Meeting - 08:50-09:50

Bexley Selection Test Virtual Meeting - 16:30-17:30

*Parents/carers of children in other year groups are welcome to attend if this is of interest.

Email to book a place on the face-to-face meetings. There is no need to book for the virtual meetings - links will be available on Monday's bulletin.

Please see the bulletin for more parents/carer meetings and events happening in Spring Term 1.

Happy 2023, everyone! See you on Wednesday!

  • Outdoor Classroom

Thu 01 Dec 2022 Miss Wellington

Check out our new outdoor classroom from Pentagon Play! We are delighted with the new space, which will be used by all children, from Reception to Year 6 for outdoor lessons. The classroom will be used for Forest School and outdoor clubs too!

On behalf of all 390 children and the staff at Brampton, we would like to say thank you very much, Friends of Brampton, for working incredibly hard to raise the money for this amazing project! And thank you to our parents/carers for your contributions over the last few years - without your generous donations at Brampton events purchasing the outdoor classroom wouldn't have been possible. We have already started to use it and it is such a wonderful space for facilitating outdoor learning. It is worth every penny!

  • Eco Champions' Local Litter Pick

Mon 14 Nov 2022 Miss Wellington (Eco Champion Leader)

Brampton's Eco Champions have set an ambitious action plan for this year and are aiming to:

    - Raise the profile of environmental sustainability and the 3Rs: reduce, recycle and reuse

    - Reduce air pollution and improve air quality around the school

    - Reduce the school’s food miles

    - Reduce the school’s energy use

They will be delivering assemblies, hosting events, and carrying out important work throughout the year to help the Brampton community become more eco-friendly.

On Monday 14th November, the Eco Champions helped out in the local community by litter picking in the streets surrounding the school and at Danson Park. They did a great job! Well done, Eco Champions!

Fri 30 Sep 2022 Miss Wellington

For our Harvest Festival this year we looked back on how much work went into the school allotment and celebrated the successful harvest we have had.

Teresa from Bexley Foodbank then joined our assembly to tell us about how our donations help people in the local area. Thank you very much for the generous donations! Thank you also to the Year 6 Prefects who helped to bag up the donations.
